Day 01 Destination – SHIMLA – LOCAL S/S – SHIMLA

Reach Shimla stop where our representative will greet you and removal you to the hotel (Check In time will be as per Hotel Policy and early check-in will be subject to show and extra cost). After vacation & fresh up get ready to explore the city. Places to cover in Shimla will be Gaiety theatre, Jakhu Temple, Johnnie’s wax museum, vice-regal lodge & botanical gardens, The Mall, Ridge, Heritage Museum, Scandal Point, Lakkar Bazaar, Jhansi Rani Park and Christ Church. After having such a beautiful outing, return to hotel for overnight stay.

Day 02 Destination – SHIMLA – KUFRI (22 KMS/45 MINS) – SHIMLA

Today after brunch enjoy your day tour to Kufri. Kufri is all season place – winters are packed with snow trip whereas summers are brimmed with bright meadows. Kufri also has a Himalayan Wildlife Zoo where one can spot felines, Himalayan Monal, birds and rare antelopes. To make your trip even more enjoyable do not forget to visit Kufri enjoy Park which will surely get your adrenal gland rush running. After such a cheerful time, hit the roads back to Shimla. Overnight stay will be at Hotel.

The Ridge

At the inside of the town is The Shimla Ridge, which offers amazing views of the mountain peaks of the land. The Ridge is a spacious open space that runs from east to west along the Mall, which is yet another best visitor destination. It connects to the Scandal inside on the west. Christ Church

Indian Institute of Advance Study

The Indian Institute of Advanced Study or Rashtrapati Niwas is housed in the best vice regal Lodge situated on top of the Observatory Hill. The building was from between 1880 and 1888 during British reign. The year 1965 saw the formulation of Indian Institute of Advanced Study here by Dr. Radhakrishnan.

Kalka -Shimla Railway

Kalka- Shimla Railway is a UNESCO World right Site along with the Mountain Railways of India. It was built in the year 1898 to join Shimla with other railway lines of India by British. It runs from Kalka to Shimla. It stops still many Visitor places like Summer Hill, Solan and many more. A rail trip still this line will give the viewers some breathtaking views and the tour still many tunnels and bridges would make up for an unforgettable experience.

Summer Hill

Pilgrimage

A quaint town located on the periphery of Shimla, Summer Hill is also called as Potter’s Hill. In the past, this was where potters used to crowd clay to make pots. At a height of 1283 meter above sea level, Summer Hill offers amazing views of the valley and the greenery around. It is 5 km from the unique Ridge, which is frequented by Visitor in great numbers. The hill is a part of a cluster of seven hills, which form Shimla and hence you are sure to have amazing sights from the top.

Jakhoo Hill

Situated 2 km from Shimla, Jakhoo Hill is the biggest peak in the entire hill station offers scenic view of the city and snow capped Himalayan Mountains. The 8000 ft Jakhoo Hill is a best visitor attraction that is visited by nature lovers and pilgrims as well. It is home to the ancient Jakhoo Temple, which has a big statue of Hanuman, its chief deity. Located at a distance of 8500 feet above sea level, the 108 feet tall statue has sensors to drive away the birds.

Tara Devi Temple & Kali Bari Temple

Tara Devi Temple is situated near Shogi village on Shimla – Kalka National Highway. The temple is famous for its heart stopping location and beautiful valleys around the hill. The temple is one of the top pilgrimage sites and also a popular place for sightseeing in Shimla The Temple is dedicated to Goddess Tara (goddess of stars) and stands on Tara Devi hilltop lies at an altitude of 1851 meters
The location of the temple on the Hill top makes it appear that the goddess seems to keep everyone under the protective gaze, showering innumerable blessings on her worshippers From here one can get a panoramic view of Shimla and snow-clad Himalayan range on one side with the other side revealing the plains at a far distance.
There are big precessions and celebration held at the temple during the Navaratras and Ashtami.

Scandal Point

Scandal point is where the Mall road joins Ridge road on the west side. The name arose from the commotion caused by the supposed elopement of a British lady with an Indian Maharaja. The story goes that the Maharaja of Patiala had eloped with the daughter of the British Viceroy. This had led to the Maharaja being banished from entering Shimla by the British authorities. He countered the move by setting himself a new summer capital – now famous hill resort of Chail, 45 km from Shimla. The most prominent feature of the point today is a statue of the Indian freedom fighter Lala Lajpat Rai (no relation to the scandal). Next to Scandal Point is the General Post Office, Shimla.

Sankat Mochan Hanuman Mandir

Sankat Mochan temple is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Shimla, which is located amid the lush green and tranquil locals of Himachal Pradesh. Tourists visit this temple to pay obeisance to the deities of Lord Rama and other notable gods of the Hindu pantheon. This spiritual destination is located approximately 5 kilometers away from Shimla and it is the second most popular tourist spot after Jakhu Temple. The temple, which was established in the year 1950, was the result of an initiative taken by the noted religious figure-Baba Neeb Karori Ji Maharaj, who was amazed by the beauty of the place. He stayed in the deep dark woods for ten days and decided to establish a Hindu temple on the location. This majestic temple houses the deities of Lord Rama, Lord Shiva, and Hanuman.
